Martyn Dukes

Martyn Dukes was born in 1958 and raised in Nottingham, England. Today, he divides his time between houses in Mauvezin, in the Gers, and Montagnola, in the canton of Ticino, in Switzerland where he maintains a studio and is the Head of Visual Arts at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS).

Despite the ceaseless challenges posed by maintaining his practice as an artist alongside that of the demands of the art teacher, Martyn finds each brings satisfaction, and each sustains the other.

Martyn has exhibited widely in galleries and shows across Europe, including London, and his work appears in a number of private collections.
